It all started in 2006 when Etana successfully auditioned to become one of Spice’s vocalists on his of Europe and North America. While in the studio with the guitarist and percussionist for Spice’s band\, Etana put together the song “Wrong Address”; the single reached number one on several Jamaican charts. Her second major hit\, “Roots\,” was inspired by her travels to Africa. Since then\, Etana has had many hit singles and tour released seven albums. Her album “Rise” made Etana the first female artist out of Jamaica to be number one on the Reggae Billboard in 17 years. With Jamaican born and raised parents\, he grew up in the Bronx and Dorchester\, MA hearing and listening to the greats like Bob Marley\, Peter Tosh\, Black Uhuru\, Jimmy Cliff. \n  \nJahRiffe’s first album “Rastafari Love” was released in 2005\, and his second album titled “Check Your Timing” came out in 2013\, leading to appearances with Kymani Marley\, Mighty Diamonds and many more acts. In 2016\, JahRiffe had his major break out single “Rasta Can’t Fade” which propelled him to sharing stages with the likes of Jah9\, Kabaka Pyramid\, Ibamar and more stars. The video for the single quickly amassed a 100k views in its first week on Reggaeville. Soon to be released\, JahRiffe’s third album\, “Reflections” will be one of his most heartfelt albums. An album where he showcases the journey of all that he has felt and seen–make ups and break ups\, the ups and downs of working\, being a father\, musician and black businessman. The first single from the album is also titled “Reflection” and is out now on his SoundCloud and other platforms.

DESCRIPTION:Gorilla Finger Dub\nA Tribute to Bob Marley\n+ DJ Host Green Lion Crew\nSunday\, August 8 | 7:30PM\nAdvanced Tickets Online – $12\nDay of Show – $15 at the door (cash only) \nDoors  7:30PM  |  Reggae DJ  7:30PM  |  Headliner 8:30PM \nAbout Gorilla Finger Dub\n \nThe idea of Gorilla Finger Dub sparked in the mind of Eric Dudevoir (bass) when he heard Chris Boivin (lead vocals\, guitar) busking in the streets of downtown Portland\, Maine. \nThe idea started off as a weekly musical gathering of like-minded locals\, and once each band member emerged and settled into their roles\, the idea evolved into the band: Chris and Eric welcomed Samuel Belanger (drums\, vocals)\, Steve Martin (lead guitar)\, Robbie Cooper (keys)\, and Mike Rice (percussion) into the collective. \nAfter recording their debut album Cool It Down in 2011\, the band hit the northeast regional scene showcasing an original sound and style known as soul-rock reggae\, and pushing each performance to the edge with their live improvisations and jams. Naturally\, the second album was recorded live. Live on 4/20 released in 2020.Each year Gorilla Finger has honored their biggest inspiration\, Bob Marley\, with a tribute show on his birthday – an annual event that has grown fast over the last 8 years\, and has been enjoyed by thousands. Joining them each year on saxophone is Glen DaCosta of the original Bob Marley & The Wailers. \nGorilla Finger has shared the stage with many of their other inspirations; Steel Pulse\, The Wailers\, Ziggy Marley\, Inner Circle\, and Yellowman to name a few. \nCurrently the band is working on their third studio album\, which will no doubt expand on their signature soul-rock reggae sound. \n
